This class is designed for ages 5-10 and perfect for creative siblings! Older students support younger students in an encouraging & fun class.

We focus on nurturing each child’s individual creativity. Students are supplied with varied stimulus material and encouraged to "think like real artists": drawing inspiration from many sources.  Activities are open-ended and suitable for all ages.

Each term offers a new program around a loose central theme and exploration of materials is key: hand-building with paperclay, painting with watercolour and artist-quality acrylic paint, drawing from life, stimulus material and the imagination, using pastel/pencil/texta/charcoal/chalk or mixed media, printmaking with found materials, intaglio or monoprinting, sculpture with recycled materials as well as all manner of collage and contemporary crafts such as weaving, for example.

A Little Ginger Studio Art class is a space to feel a sense of achievement. Students in our classes develop a real sense of camaraderie, and positive encouragement and collaboration between pupils is encouraged. However, ultimately, our classes are about having some creative, messy fun!
